R K Caterers & Contractors is over at 2 Sanjay Park. We are right beside Gandhi Smruti Bhavan in Timaliwadi, near the Ankhleswar Industrial area. Being so close to the industrial side of things means we deal with a lot of different types of people. The address can be a bit tricky for new delivery drivers to find sometimes, but we’ve been here long enough that most locals know the spot. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, including the contracting side where we set up the actual event spaces. Our storage area is full of metal frames and heavy canvas. It is a dusty job. The kitchen is separate from the equipment storage, but both are always humming with some kind of activity. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. Most of our work comes from people seeing us at another event. We wake up early to check the inventory and make sure the gas tanks are full. There is always a lot of shouting when we are trying to get the trucks loaded up for a big job. It is a bit chaotic, but we managed to make it work for a long time now. The guys who work here are tough and they don't mind the long hours. We just focus on getting the food cooked and the tents set up properly.
