Mishra Advocates

We’ve been based here at R B Mehta Road for quite a while now. The office is in suite 304, right on Ghod Dod Road, which is a busy part of town to be in. Most days it’s just a lot of reading through files and making sure the paperwork for the courts is sorted out properly. It’s not always exciting, but it’s the work that needs doing. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially in the afternoons when everyone is heading home, but we’re used to it by now. We usually have people coming in to discuss their legal matters or just to drop off documents that we’ve been waiting for. It’s a practical space, nothing too fancy, just some desks and a lot of shelves for all the law books and folders we’ve collected over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at the computer, looking up old cases. If you walk past the building, you’ll see the sign outside. Being in this part of Surat means there’s always something happening nearby. We try to stay organized, but with so many different cases going on at once, the desks usually end up covered in papers by midday. It’s just how a busy legal office ends up looking after a few hours of work. We’ve known some of the other people in this building for years, and it feels like a familiar spot to spend our working hours.
