You can find us at Memco Power Tech over on M G Road in Adajan. It’s a busy area, and the shop is usually filled with the hum of something being tested or the smell of soldering wire. We deal with power equipment, so there are always batteries, wires, and circuit boards lying around on the benches. It’s definitely not the cleanest place in the world, as there’s usually a bit of metal shavings or wire clippings on the floor. I spend a lot of my day squinting at small parts or trying to figure out why a motor stopped turning. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and trial and error. People come in frustrated because their backup power failed or some machine stopped working, and we just try to take it apart and see what’s wrong. We don't use any fancy diagnostic computers; it’s mostly just meters and years of looking at the same types of gadgets. The shop can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of repairs stacked up, but we manage. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive, which is just part of the hassle of the business. We keep it straightforward here. No big sales pitches, just a lot of technical work and trying to keep the lights on for the people who come to us for help with their gear.
