Manorita Designs

You can find Manorita Designs at number 506 in the Nanpura area. It is actually more of a workshop than a traditional store. We spend our days surrounded by big rolls of fabric, colorful threads, and a couple of old sewing machines that never seem to stop humming. We mostly work on custom pieces, like special dresses for weddings or just regular suits for women who want something that fits them better than what you can buy in the mall. It started out as just a small hobby in a spare room, but it slowly grew into this small business over time. Nanpura is a crowded place with lots of local history, and we fit right in with all the other small shops on the street. We do not have a big catalog or a website with a lot of professional pictures. Most people just bring in a hand drawing or a photo of what they want, and we see if we can make it happen for them. Sometimes we have to tell people that a certain fabric will not work for the design they want, because we want the clothes to actually last a long time. It gets very messy with scraps of cloth all over the floor by the end of the work week. We are just a few people who really like making things with our hands. We take the measurements, do the cutting, and then finish the stitching.
