Mangalvir General Stores

Mangalvir General Stores is located at shop 8 in the Swastik Shopping Centre. We are on Rander Road in the Palanpur Patia area of Surat, right near the Gujarat Housing Board. Because we are a general store, we have a variety of things that go beyond just food. We have plastic items, some stationery, and all the usual household supplies. The shopping center is a place where many locals come to get their errands done. The shop is not very large, so we have to be clever about how we stack the items. I spend a lot of time moving things around to make more room. The floor is made of simple tiles that have seen a lot of footsteps over the years. Surat is a busy city, and Rander Road always has something going on. I sit on a small plastic chair near the counter and wait for the customers to come in. Most of them are from the housing board nearby and they just need a few things for their home. I don't use any modern technology for the sales, just a pen and a notebook to keep track of what goes out. Sometimes the rain gets quite heavy in Surat, and we have to pull the shutter down a bit to keep the water out. It is just a regular, honest place to shop where we know our customers well.
