Makwana Model Art

We are located over at Ring Road in the M I D C area at S 14. Being in an industrial zone like this means we are surrounded by all kinds of manufacturing and trade businesses. Makwana Model Art is where we take ideas and turn them into physical forms. It is a bit of a mix between a workshop and an art studio. You will find sawdust on the floor and paint brushes soaking in jars on the tables. We do not have a formal reception area or a secretary. If you come by, you will probably find us in the middle of a project with glue on our fingers. Making models is slow work and it requires a lot of patience that most people do not have. We have been at this spot on the Ring Road for quite some time now and we have seen the MIDC grow up around us. The lighting in the shop is not the best but we have some lamps we move around to see the small details. Sometimes we stay late when a project is nearly finished and the whole place is quiet except for the sound of a small file or sandpaper. It is not a glamorous job but there is something nice about seeing a finished model sitting on the bench at the end of the week. We just do what we do and let the work speak for itself when people come to pick it up. It is just a messy, creative life here at S 14.
