Mahalaxmi Novelty Store

Mahalaxmi Novelty Store is located over in Katargam, specifically at Vikroli Park Side, Anand Ghad, right across from Oscar Chambers. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you aren't from the area, but we’re easy to find once you’re in Phursungi. The shop is pretty basic. We’ve got shelves, some stock, and a counter where we sit. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just sell things. Most of our days are spent waiting for the next person to walk in or rearranging the items so they don't get too dusty. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous place around. We just want to be here for the people who need what we have. Sometimes we chat with the neighbors or the people from Oscar Chambers when they come over. It feels like a small community here. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come by and look. We try to keep the prices fair and the talk honest. It’s just how we were raised to do things. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so it gets a bit warm, but we don't mind. We just keep the fan on and keep working until closing.
