Lalani Sons

We are located at 9/1557-58 in Chauta Bazar. If you look right across the street, you’ll see Annapurna Jewellers. They have the big bright signs, and we at Lalani Sons are just here on the other side. Chauta Bazar is a place where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. Our shop has been here for a long time. It’s not a large place. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a very old wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The floors are worn down from people walking on them for years. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the customers to start trickling in. Some days it’s so packed in the bazar that people can hardly move, and other days it’s a bit slower. We know the other shop owners around here well. We share news and talk about the weather while we wait. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. We don't spend money on expensive decorations. We’d rather just keep things simple. When someone buys something, we wrap it up in plain paper and say thanks. It’s how it’s always been done here. We aren't looking to change much as long as the doors stay open and people keep coming by to see us. It’s our way of life.
