Krishna Novelty

Krishna Novelty is located at number 6, right opposite the post office on Bowring Hospital Road. Being across from the post office is quite handy because there are always people around. We are also very close to Bhatar Road. Our shop is filled with all kinds of small novelty goods and daily items. It is a narrow space, so we had to build the shelves all the way up to the ceiling. We have a long ladder that we use to get things down for customers. Sometimes it feels like we are more of a storage room than a shop. We started this business because we wanted to stay in this neighborhood. We have lived around here for our whole lives. The shop is usually run by just one of us at a time. It gets a bit lonely during the slow hours in the middle of the day, but there is always something to reorganize or a delivery to check in. We don't use any fancy barcodes or scanners. We just know the price of everything by heart. The sign outside is getting a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are anyway. We see the same faces every day, people going to work or coming back from the hospital nearby. It’s a simple, honest business and we don’t try to make it more than what it is. We just try to be helpful to the folks who walk through our door.
