Kasturi Cards & Gift Shop

Kasturi Cards & Gift Shop is located at 16 Patel Avenue in Kadodara. We started this place because we wanted to have a small business of our own. Most of our day is spent helping people find the right card for a wedding or a birthday. We also keep a variety of gifts on the shelves, though it’s hard to fit everything we want in this space. Patel Avenue is a decent place to be, and we have some regulars who come in every time they need something for a special occasion. The shop has a bit of an old smell to it, mostly from the paper and the cardboard boxes, but it’s a comfortable place. We don't really have a big staff, just us family members taking turns behind the counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we keep some candles handy so we can still see the customers. It’s not a perfect setup, but it works for what we need. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. Kadodara has grown a lot since we first opened, and there are more shops around us now. We just focus on our own four walls and try to make sure we have what people are looking for. It’s a quiet kind of life, sitting here and greeting the neighbors as they pass by our front window.
