We’ve been here at Mahidharpura on Carter Road for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by stacks of fabric swatches and color charts. It gets pretty crowded in here sometimes when a new shipment comes in. People know us as Jaristudios Textile Consultancy but really it’s just a few of us trying to get things right for the clients. The office at number 698 isn’t anything fancy. It’s functional though. We spend a lot of time talking about thread counts and dyeing processes. It’s hard work and the hours can get long during the peak season. Some mornings the traffic on Carter Road is a nightmare but once we get inside and start looking at the new designs it all feels okay. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most folks just find us by word of mouth or see the sign when they're passing by in the neighborhood. We focus on the technical side of textiles mostly. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to actually get some filing done. We’ve seen the area change over the years but our spot stays pretty much the same. It’s a lot of manual checking and making sure the quality is where it needs to be before anything goes out. It’s just how we operate day to day here in Mahidharpura. We keep the kettle going and just get on with the jobs we have on the desk.
