Jewels Star Store

We have been here at No. 51 Ishwar Krupa Society for a while now. It is a quiet spot mostly, and we like it that way. Usually, the day starts with opening up the shutters and saying hello to the neighbors walking by. Being inside a society means things are a bit more personal than those big shops on the main road. People know where to find us. We spend a lot of time just organizing things behind the counter. Sometimes the sun hits the front glass just right in the afternoon. It gets warm, so we keep the fan going. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name Jewels Star Store on the door. People usually come in after their morning chores or later in the evening when the kids are back from school. Most of our day is just sitting here, waiting on deliveries or fixing little things that need attention. There is a tea stall nearby that brings us chai twice a day. The floor gets dusty because of the construction down the street, so we sweep it a lot. It is just a small place where we do our work and keep things running. We don't do much besides what we have to do every day. It is a simple life here in the society. If you walk past the main gate and turn left, you will see us there at number fifty-one. That is pretty much the whole story of our daily routine. We stay until about eight or so and then head home like everyone else.
