D Varni Gems

We are based at 101 Akshay Raj, which is over in the Jadakhadi area of Mahidharpura. Surat is famous for this kind of work, and we are just one small part of that. D Varni Gems has been in this building for a while now. It’s a bit of a maze in Mahidharpura if you aren't used to it, but once you find Akshay Raj, we are right there. The office is usually full of gems and paper. We don’t have much room for anything else. It’s a working space, not a showroom for show. We spend our days sorting through things and talking to other people in the trade. It gets quite busy during certain times of the year, and we just try to keep up. There’s no big corporate vibe here. It’s just us, the gems, and a lot of hard work. The street outside is always moving, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, but that’s just part of it. We like being in Surat because everyone knows the business here. 101 is just a number on a door to some, but to us, it’s where everything happens. We don't need anything more than this simple setup. It keeps us busy and we get the job done without needing any fancy bells or whistles.
