Happy Novelty Stores

Our shop, Happy Novelty Stores, sits right near the Labheshwar Police Station on Varachha Road. We are at Number 4 on 6th A Cross in Balaji Nagar. It is a lively area, and having the police station so close makes it feel pretty safe even late at night. The traffic on Varachha Road can be a real headache sometimes, but that’s just how it is around here. We have a lot of different items packed into the space. It’s not a huge shop, so we have to use the walls and even the ceiling hooks for some of the stock. Most of the people who come in are from the neighborhood. They come for small household things or gifts for their kids. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many small items, it’s a constant job for us. Some days are very quiet and we just sit and watch the bikes go by. Other days, like during festival times, it’s a bit of a madhouse. We don’t do anything fancy with advertising. People just know we are here. If someone needs a specific colored thread or a small toy, they usually check with us first. Balaji Nagar has a lot of energy, and we’ve seen a lot of shops come and go, but we’ve stuck around at this spot for a good bit now. It feels like home to us, surrounded by all these small bits and pieces every day. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the cleaning, but we do our best.
