Ghanshayam Cement

At Ghanshayam Cement, we deal with a lot of heavy lifting. Our place is at 6 Katargam Darwaja, over in the Battor Chawl area on Bapurao Marg. It is a gritty kind of job, working with bags of cement all day. There is always a bit of white dust in the air and on our clothes. We don't mind it much. It is just the nature of the business. We supply cement for various building projects around this part of town. The shop is more of a warehouse setup, designed to store everything properly so it stays dry. We don't have a fancy showroom or shiny floors. It is just stacks of bags and some basic equipment for moving them. We are just regular people who know a bit about construction materials. We don't go in for big promises or polished sales pitches. If someone needs cement, they come here, we load it up, and they go. It is very straightforward. The neighborhood is busy, and we fit right in with the other shops and workshops along Bapurao Marg. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow spots, but we manage. We’ve been doing this for a while now and we just keep at it. It is hard work, but it is honest. We mostly focus on keeping the inventory counts right. There is always something needing attention. That is our life here.
