Geeta Provision Stores

Surat 9 is where we have been for a long time. Geeta Provision Stores is the name people know us by. It is just a local shop. We are located right in the heart of the neighborhood in Surat 9. The shelves are always full. We have things stacked from the floor to the ceiling. Geeta Provision Stores is a busy little place. People come in for their daily needs. We know most of the families around Surat 9. It is the kind of place where you hear the local news just by standing at the counter. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit worn out. We sweep them every morning before we open. Geeta Provision Stores has a small awning out front. It helps keep the sun off the fruit. Surat 9 can get very hot in the afternoon. We keep a fan pointed at the billing area. It is not a supermarket. It is just a provision store. We keep a ledger for some of the regulars. There is always a smell of spices and grains inside Geeta Provision Stores. We have bags of rice and flour sitting near the entrance. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. But we like it that way. It feels like home. Surat 9 is a good community to be a part of. We see the same faces every single day.
