Gayatri Cement

Gayatri Cement is located at number 32 in Pandesara. It’s more of a warehouse and loading area than anything else. We deal with bags of cement all day long, so there is always a bit of grey dust on everything in the office. It’s a heavy job, moving these bags around and making sure the counts are right when the trucks show up. We aren't a big corporation with lots of departments, just a small crew here in Pandesara making sure the local builders get what they need for their sites. The yard can get a bit messy when it rains, but we try to keep the stock dry under the sheds. People usually call us or just drive down if they need a few dozen bags for a small project. We don't do much in the way of marketing, we just rely on the fact that we've been here for a while and people know where to find us. It’s practical work and it’s often tiring, but that is just the nature of the cement business. We don't have a fancy showroom, just stacks of product and a desk where we do the paperwork and take orders. Sometimes the delivery trucks get delayed in traffic, which throws off our schedule, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s just us here, doing our bit for the local building trade and keeping things moving as best as we can.
