Our shop is right in the middle of the Radha Krishna Textile Market on Ring Road. It’s at Plot No. J-775/776. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how crazy it gets with all the fabric rolls and people rushing around. We started Food & Grocery because all the workers and traders here needed a place to get their daily stuff without leaving the market area. It’s a busy spot and the noise from the Ring Road traffic never really stops. We keep the shelves packed with everything from snacks to basic cooking supplies. The space is small and we have to use every inch, even stacking things high up near the ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when we get a delivery of new stock. We don’t have any fancy lighting or air conditioning, just some basic bulbs and a big fan that hums all day. My wife helps me behind the counter, and we see the same faces every single morning. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the demand, especially during the festival seasons when the market is packed. We don’t bother with much else besides making sure the bins are full and the floor is swept. The tea here is always hot and we usually have the radio playing some old songs to pass the time between customers. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how life is on Ring Road.
