F. A. Lokhandwala & Sons

Our place is right by the Panini Tanki on Cinema Road. If you’re looking for us, we are tucked in right beside Kishore Coldrink, which is usually where everyone goes when the heat gets too much. It’s a family thing here, hence the name F. A. Lokhandwala & Sons. My father started things off and now we just keep the wheels turning day after day. The shop is filled with all sorts of items, mostly stuff people need for their homes or small building projects. We don’t really bother with big displays or anything like that. Things are stacked where they fit, and we know our way around the piles even if it looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. Cinema Road stays pretty lively, especially in the evenings. We get a lot of people stopping by after they grab a drink next door. It’s not a quiet job, there’s always someone asking for a specific bolt or a piece of hardware we might have tucked away in the back. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow, but that’s just how business goes. We like being in this part of town because everyone knows everyone. It’s not like those big corporate offices where nobody says hello. Here, we take our tea outside and chat with the other shopkeepers while waiting for the next customer to show up. It's been this way for years and we don't plan on changing it.
