Engineer

My name is Chandrashekhara N, and you can find me over at Milan Bungalows on Dumas Road in Surat. We are right opposite the Velintane Cinema, so it’s actually pretty easy to find if you’re driving down that way. Dumas Road can get quite crowded, especially when there’s a big movie playing at the cinema, but inside the bungalow, it stays relatively quiet for working. I’ve been doing this engineering work here for some time now. It’s a good spot because it’s close enough to the main parts of Gujarat but feels like its own little world once you step inside. The setup is quite basic. I have my main desk, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of paper everywhere. I’m not the most organized person when it comes to my desk, but I know exactly where everything is. People sometimes get confused by the address, but once they see the cinema, they know they’re in the right place. It’s a nice area of Surat to be in. I usually start my day with a walk nearby before the traffic gets too bad, and then I settle in for the day’s tasks. There’s no big team or anything, just me handling the projects as they come in. It’s a simple life and a simple way of working. I don’t see the need for all that polished corporate stuff. I just do the job and stay here at the bungalow until the work is finished.
