Engineer

We are based in room 203 at Ellam Park, which is situated in the Pal Patia area on Hazira Road. Surat is a fast city, and being on Hazira Road puts us right where the industrial action is. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but it gives us a decent view of the traffic. Engineer is the name we use for our operations. The building is a bit older, so the elevator doesn't always work like it should. We have a lot of files and some basic equipment in our small office. It’s usually quite loud outside because of the heavy vehicles going towards the port. We spend our hours here looking over plans and doing calculations. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we have enough lamps to keep going. We don’t have any polished presentations or corporate slogans. We are just a few people who know how to handle the technical side of things. Most of our clients are from the nearby industrial units. Sometimes we have tea brought up from the stall downstairs while we discuss the day's tasks. It’s a busy life here in Surat, and we just try to keep up with the pace. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. We share the floor with a couple of other small businesses, so there's always someone coming or going in the hallway. It keeps things interesting. We just stick to our work and try to stay productive.
