Our shop is tucked away in Adarsh Society over in Adhavalines, right across from the government quarters. It’s a quiet enough area but we stay busy with the engineering side of things. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and looking over what needs doing for the day. We aren’t a massive factory, just a local place where we handle mechanical and electrical parts. It can get a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of materials arriving at once. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or grease, but we try to sweep up at the end of the shift. Being near the quarters means we see a lot of the same faces passing by every day. We don’t do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us going. If someone needs a part fixed or a small piece engineered, they just drop by the gate. We’ve had the same few guys working here for years and they know the machines better than anyone. Sometimes the rain leaks in through the roof a bit during monsoon season, but we just move the gear and keep working. It’s just us doing what we know how to do without making a big fuss about it. You might have to look twice to find the entrance, but we are always there, ready to take a look at whatever project comes through the door.
