Dhanlaxmi Kirana Shop

Our little shop is located right at Gali Number 1 in Udhna Yad. It is a busy spot near Shastri Chowk Road in Bamroli. Surat is a city that never really stops, and this area is no different. There is always a lot of dust and noise from the vehicles passing by on the way to the chowk. I started this kirana shop because I wanted something of my own. It isn't a huge place, just a simple room filled with the things people use every day. I spend my mornings counting out change and making sure the jars of spices are full. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there with the door open to catch the breeze. The regulars know where everything is, so they often just walk in and point to what they need. I try to keep prices fair because I know how hard everyone around here works. We get a lot of workers from the nearby units coming in for their daily needs. It is hard work standing on your feet all day, but it is what I know. Bamroli is a tough place sometimes, but the people are good. I don't have a big staff, maybe just a family member helping out when it gets really crowded in the evenings. We are just here to serve the local street and the people living in the nearby houses. It is a basic setup, but it works for us.
