If you go to Salabatpura Main Road and look for number 213, you will find us there. D K Dhandhukiya has been a part of this market for a long time. Salabatpura is a very loud and crowded place, especially with all the textile trading that goes on every day. Our shop is often packed with different kinds of materials, so there isn't much room to move around inside. We mostly deal with trade and helping people find the right fabrics or supplies they need. It is a family business, and we don't have any interest in sounding like a big corporate office. We use old-fashioned notebooks to keep track of our sales and orders because it’s what we are used to. Sometimes the phone rings non-stop and other times it is quiet enough to hear the sewing machines from next door. We get people coming in from all over the city, and we try to treat everyone the same. We don't have a website or do any online ads; we just rely on people knowing where we are. Dealing with suppliers can be a headache sometimes, and prices change almost every week, but we just roll with it. It’s a tough way to make a living with all the competition around, but we’ve managed to keep going. We just open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings.
