D J Gift Articles is located at 2 Rajmata Industrial Estate in the Segva Chhama area. Being inside an industrial estate means it is not like those fancy stores you see on the main shopping streets. It has more of a warehouse feel to it. We handle a lot of different items and things can get pretty dusty because of all the trucks moving around outside in the yard. We do a lot of heavy lifting, packing and unpacking boxes every single day. It can be hard work on the back after a few hours. My brother and I run the place mostly. We started it because we saw that people needed gift items in this part of town. Segva Chhama is growing fast but it is still mostly industrial units around our specific block. We do not get many people just walking in to browse. Usually, someone comes here because they already know what they are looking for or they have an order waiting to be picked up. The office part of our unit is small and usually has way too much paperwork sitting on the desk. I keep telling myself I will organize it on Friday but then more work comes in. We have a small electric kettle for making coffee and that is really our only luxury. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we are too busy to move all the shelves.
