Bhatt & Co is situated in Surat, at 202 Shree Shyam Chambers. Surat is a city that never really stops, and being in a commercial building like this means we are surrounded by other businesses all day. Our office is on the second floor. It’s a standard setup with a couple of desks, some filing cabinets, and a window that looks out over the street. The traffic in Surat can be a bit much, but you get used to the constant honking after a while. We spend most of our time here dealing with the day-to-day paperwork and talking to people on the phone. It’s a practical space. We don’t have any expensive art on the walls or leather sofas. We just have what we need to get the job done. The building has a lot of foot traffic, so there is always a bit of noise in the hallways. We usually have a small stove in the corner to make tea because we drink a lot of it while we work. It’s a very straightforward environment. We show up in the morning, do our tasks, and head home when the work is finished. There isn't any big philosophy behind it. We just like to keep our heads down and stay busy. The Indian weather can make the office quite warm, so we keep the fans going and maybe a small cooler if it’s really bad during the peak summer months.
