Mehta & Co.

Mehta & Co. is situated in the Sagrampura area, specifically inside Radhey Market on the Ring Road. It’s a very crowded part of town, especially being near Kailash Nagar. There is always a lot of shouting, horns honking, and people rushing around outside our doors. Inside the shop, things are a bit more organized, though we have goods piled up to the ceiling in some places. We’ve been here for quite a while, and we’ve seen the market change as new shops come and go. Our space is functional and doesn't have any of those modern decorations you see in the malls. We have old wooden shelves and a heavy metal shutter that we pull up every morning. We get a lot of walk-in customers because of our location on the Ring Road. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying items out to people’s cars or loading up small carts. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just sell what we have and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. Usually, we eat our lunch at the back of the shop while listening to the radio. It’s a loud, busy environment, but we wouldn’t really know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office. We just keep going, day after day, and try to stay on top of the orders that come through the door.
