Bhatias Watch & Gift

Bhatias Watch & Gift is located right opposite the Kamrej Bus Stand, which means there is always a lot of noise and people running around outside. We see the buses coming and going all day long from our front window. It is a handy spot because travelers often realize they need a watch battery or a quick gift before they hop on their bus. I spend a lot of my time behind the small counter working on watch straps or fixing old clocks that people bring in from around Kamrej. The shop is not huge but we have filled up the walls with all sorts of things. Sometimes the clock chimes all go off at different times and it gets a bit chaotic in here. We have lived around here for years so we know the local routes and the bus drivers too. It gets busy in the evenings when the commuters return and the street lights come on. The floor needs sweeping pretty often because of all the foot traffic from the bus stand across the road. We just keep things plain and simple here. No one is in a tuxedo and we don't have a computer system for everything, just our old ledger and some pens. It is a bit of a traditional way to run a shop but it works for us and the people who live nearby know where to find us.
