Balmukund Novelty

You can find Balmukund Novelty at unit 2 in the Kishan Complex on Varachha Road. It’s a pretty easy place to spot once you get into the complex. We’ve been here for a while, selling all those little novelty items that people seem to need all the time. From hair clips and bangles to small toys and stationery, we try to keep a little bit of everything. The shop is small and the aisles are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you’re looking around. Varachha Road is always bustling, and the noise of the traffic is something we don't even notice anymore. It’s a lively neighborhood to be in. We get a lot of regulars who live nearby and just pop in to see what new things we’ve put out. We don’t have a fancy business plan or a big mission statement. We just open the shutters in the morning, dust off the shelves, and wait for the first customer. Sometimes we spend the afternoon organizing the small bins of beads or buttons, which takes forever but it's satisfying when it's done. The lighting inside is a little yellow, which gives the place a warm feel even if it’s not modern. We are just a local shop trying to provide what the community needs. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s our life and we’re proud of the little space we’ve built here.
