Ashok Novelty

If you are in Bardoli, you might have seen us at Navratna Tower, right across from Sardar Hospital. We are in unit D 3. It’s a good spot because there are always people around since the hospital is so close. We see a lot of folks who are waiting for someone or just passing through. Our shop is full of novelty items, toys, and small gifts. It’s a bit packed in here, but we like it that way. It feels full of life. We don’t have a big corporate strategy. We just buy things we think people will like and put them on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things on the floor, but we manage. Bardoli is a nice place to work. It’s got a good feel to it. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the tower. We often share a cup of tea in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People just see the shop when they go to the hospital or the nearby stores. It’s a simple life, opening up at the same time every day and seeing who comes in. We try to be helpful without being pushy. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of the building. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the furniture. It’s a steady, honest business.
