Ashirwad Kirana Stores

Over here in Subhashnagar, Vikas Road gets pretty crowded. Ashirwad Kirana Stores is right in the middle of it all in Limbayat. It is a noisy area, but you get used to the sound of the bikes and the people shouting. Our shop is where people stop by for their daily groceries. We carry things like flour, rice, and different kinds of oils. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things fall off if you aren't careful when you are reaching for something at the back. We try to keep everything fresh, but it is a lot of work to manage the inventory when you are just a small team. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We don’t have much space to move around once the crates of cold drinks are delivered and stacked up. Customers often stay for a few minutes to talk about the weather or the local news while we pack their bags. It makes the day go by faster. We are not trying to be the biggest shop around, we just want to make sure we have what the neighbors need when they run out of salt or soap in the middle of cooking. It is a simple way to make a living, even if it means working long hours and dealing with the heat on Vikas Road.
