Ashapura Provision Store

Ashapura Provision Store is down in the Sania Hemad area, specifically inside the Bhatia Glass Compound. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a store, being inside a compound like that, but it works for us. The space is filled with big bags of grains, rice, and all the daily essentials people need. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out on the scale and bagging them up for the locals. The air is always a bit dusty from the flour and the general activity around the compound. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights, just plain wooden shelves and some plastic bins for the loose items. It gets a bit dark in the back of the store, so we have to keep a couple of extra bulbs burning all day long. The trucks from the glass factory nearby make a lot of noise, and the ground sometimes shakes when they drive past the entrance. We’ve been here for a good while, and the routine hasn't changed much. We open up early to catch the people heading to work and stay open until the sun is well down and the street lights come on. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy sacks around. Our hands are usually a bit rough from the work, but that’s just how it is in this trade. It’s a simple provision store for the people nearby, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep our heads down and serve who comes in.
