Aakar Novelty Store

We are located at number 23 inside the Khodiyar Shopping Centre. This is right in Raviwar Peth, just off the Varachha Road. It’s a very old and busy part of the city. Being in a shopping centre means we have neighbors on both sides, and we all know each other pretty well. At Aakar Novelty Store, we deal with a lot of small items that people need for their daily lives or special occasions. The shop is cozy, maybe a bit too small when we get more than three people inside at once, but we manage. Raviwar Peth is always full of energy, especially on the weekends, though we are here every day of the week. I usually start the day by pulling up the metal shutter and setting out a few things on the front table to show we are open. We don't use any corporate talk or have big meetings about our goals. Our goal is just to sell what’s on the shelves and make enough to come back tomorrow. The floor is tile and it’s a bit worn down from people walking in and out over the years. We keep a small stool behind the counter and a fan that oscillates to keep the air moving. It is just a regular shop in a busy market area. We’ve been at 23 Khodiyar for a while now, and it feels like home.
