We are Orissa Sponge Iron Ltd . Our office is at A 11 / 39 Indira Housing Board Colony. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a lot of employees in suits. It’s just us working out of the colony. The location is pretty quiet, which helps when we need to concentrate on the iron business. Most of what we do involves coordinating shipments and keeping the accounts straight. Sponge iron isn’t a glamorous product, but it’s necessary for everything. We spend our days on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. The office has a lived-in feel to it. There are stacks of paper on most of the desks and a few old calendars on the walls. We’ve been here long enough that the postman doesn't even have to look at the address anymore. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. We aren’t really looking for attention. We just want to get the job done and go home at the end of the day. Working in the housing board colony feels more like being part of a neighborhood than being in a business district. It’s a practical place for a practical company. We keep things simple because that’s what works for us. No need for anything more than that. Our name might be on some paperwork but we just see ourselves as part of the daily grind.
