Arvind Steels

Arvind Steels is found at the C/O Pvs Showroom on Tanpur Road. We are quite close to the Maysare Hotel in the Sundergarh district. Because we share space or are located within the showroom area, it’s a bit of a shared environment. There is a lot of metal and steel around, so you can hear the clanging of rods and sheets being moved throughout the day. Sundergarh weather can be quite harsh, with very hot days followed by heavy monsoon rains that make the steel cold and wet. We spend a lot of time wearing heavy gloves and making sure everything is stacked properly so it doesn't tip over. The office part is just a corner with a couple of chairs and a table where we handle the bills. It’s a bit cramped when more than two people are inside, but we make it work. The road outside, Tanpur Road, is usually busy with people heading toward the hotel or the other shops nearby. We don’t really do any fancy advertising; we just stay busy with the work at hand. Most of our regulars know to look for the Pvs Showroom sign to find us. It’s a practical way to run things, and we focus on getting the orders right rather than how the office looks. Every day is about the same routine of checking the stock and talking to the drivers.
