Rampratap Farmer Producer Company Limited

Running out of the Jajjaur area in Sultanpur, the Rampratap Farmer Producer Company is where we spend our time. We’re located with Shivani Devi, and it’s a pretty typical spot for this part of Uttar Pradesh. Most of us who are part of this group have known each other since we were kids. We spent our lives in these fields, so it felt natural to start something together. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a place where we can meet and figure out how to get our produce to market without losing too much money. It’s a constant struggle with the prices and the weather, but having a group makes it a bit easier to handle. We spend our days checking on the crops, talking to suppliers, and trying to keep our equipment from falling apart. It's not glamorous work, and we often go home tired and covered in dirt. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or corporate goals. We just want to be able to keep farming our land and maybe make things a little better for our kids. There’s a lot of paperwork that comes with running a company, which none of us really likes, but we sit down and do it because it’s necessary. It’s just us, working hard in Sultanpur, trying to make a go of it. It’s not easy, but we’ve got each other and that helps.
