Kashmir Valley Arts

Kashmir Valley Arts is located in the Safa Kadal area, specifically near Malik Sahib. This is a very old part of the city with narrow streets and lots of history. Our building has been here for a long time and you can feel it when you walk inside. The floors are made of old wood and they creak under your feet. We have been working from this spot for many years. It is a small operation. We don't have a lot of modern equipment or fancy furniture. Most of what we have is just old desks and shelves that have been here since we started. The neighborhood is very lively. We can hear the kids playing outside and the neighbors talking to each other. We spend our days looking after the different art pieces and crafts we have. Sometimes we just sit and watch the world go by from the window. It is a very slow pace of life here. We don't have a big sign or a website. People usually find us by asking around the neighborhood. We drink a lot of tea and wait for visitors to come by. It is a quiet and simple way to run things. We are just a small part of this old community. The dust settles on everything pretty quickly, so we are always cleaning a bit.
