Our office is located in the Emporium Building, and we mainly focus on sales and export stuff. It’s an older building, so it has that specific smell of paper and wood. We’ve been here for quite some time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern art on the walls or sleek furniture. Everything is pretty functional. We have desks piled with ledgers and samples of different things. Working here means dealing with a lot of different people, from the artisans who make the goods to the people who handle the shipping. Sometimes the communication is a bit slow, but we get there in the end. It can get quite noisy in the building during the peak hours of the day. We just drink our tea and keep moving through the list of things to do. It’s a very traditional way of working, I suppose. We don't have a fancy website or a big social media presence. Most of our work happens through old-fashioned phone calls and letters. It is a bit of a slower pace than some of the newer companies, but it suits us fine. We know our way around the Emporium Building and we like the history of the place. It’s just a steady job for a group of people who care about what they do.
