Shah Handicrafts is located over in Munawar Abad, right on Mal Road. It’s a good spot because people are always passing through. I’ve been working here for quite some time now. The shop is full of things that take a lot of time to make. I usually spend my mornings dusting off the displays and checking if any of the older pieces need a bit of a polish. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights or anything. It’s just a regular shop with wooden floors and lots of shelves. Mal Road can get quite noisy with all the cars and the shops nearby, but once you step inside, it feels a bit slower. I try to keep things in some kind of order, but honestly, items end up all over the place by the end of the day. People come in looking for gifts or something for their own homes. I don’t try to push anyone into buying anything. If they like something, they take it. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and where I sit to have my lunch when it is quiet. It’s a simple life. The weather can get a bit cold in the winters here, so I usually have a small heater running near the counter. It’s just me most days, keeping things going and talking to whoever walks through the door. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else really.
