Indian Hand-Crafted Products

Being on Residency Road is actually quite nice, even if the traffic is a bit much during the lunch hour. We are tucked away in the Central Block of the Govt Buildings at number 7. It’s one of those older structures with very thick walls and high ceilings, so it stays relatively cool even when it’s boiling outside. Indian Hand-Crafted Products is basically just a few rooms filled with items from all over the country. We have shelves reaching all the way up to the ceiling, and half the time we need a ladder to find what we’re looking for. It’s a bit dusty in the corners, and the floorboards creak when you walk over certain spots. We spend our days sorting through new arrivals and making sure everything is labeled correctly, though things often get mixed up in the rush. There’s a heavy smell of wood and fabric in the air most of the time. We don’t have a flashy storefront; it feels more like a warehouse or a big closet where we keep all our treasures. The light in here is a bit dim because the windows are small, but it adds to the atmosphere, I suppose. I usually spend my mornings answering emails and my afternoons packing boxes for shipping. It’s a slow pace compared to the modern offices nearby, but we like it that way. We just focus on the items we have and try to keep things moving along.
