Kashani Trading Co

Kashani Trading Co is located in Sarai Bala, right near Amira Kadal in Srinagar. Being in Maharaja Bazar means we are in the heart of the old city's trading hub. It’s a place where things are always moving, and there is a lot of history in these streets. We deal with various goods that traders and local people need. Srinagar can be tough in the winters, and the market slows down a bit when the snow starts, but we stay open as much as we can. Our office is not very big, and it’s filled with papers and samples of whatever we are trading at the moment. It can feel a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by for a cup of tea and a chat about the market prices. It’s not a corporate setup with meetings and fancy furniture. It’s more about the relationships we’ve built over the years in this part of town. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there in the dim light until it comes back. That is just how it is in Maharaja Bazar. We handle the logistics and the buying and selling without too much fuss. It’s hard work, but this is what we have been doing for a long time now.
