Abdul Majeed Bhat

I have been living and working in Ladhoo, Khrew for a long time. My name is Abdul Majeed Bhat and my place is tucked away in this part of Pulwama near Srinagar. It’s a bit of a different pace out here compared to the main city, which I like. My day starts early when the air is still crisp. I walk to my workplace and start setting things up for the day. There’s no big sign or anything, just a door that’s usually open. People from the area know me well. We often sit for a bit and share some news before getting down to the actual work. It’s a small operation, just a simple space where I handle my daily business. I’ve lived in Ladhoo most of my life, so I’ve seen how the town has grown. Even with the changes, I try to keep my way of doing things exactly as it has always been. It’s about being reliable and showing up every morning. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get blocked by snow in the winter, but that is just part of living in this region. You learn to work around it. I don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. If someone needs me, they know exactly where to find me in Khrew. It’s a humble way to live, but it’s mine and I’m proud of the work I put in. I hope to keep doing this for many more years.
