A P Social Welfare Residential Schools is situated in the Official Colony in Srikakulam. It serves as both a school and a junior college for girls. Being in Official Colony means it’s a bit of an established area, but the school itself is very down-to-earth. The girls live on the premises, so the hostel is a major part of the life here. It’s full of metal trunks, stacks of books, and clothes drying on lines. The building is a bit old, with some stains on the walls and floors that have seen many years of students walking on them. Srikakulam can get quite windy, which helps with the heat. We have a set routine that starts with the morning bell. The girls go from their dorms to the classrooms and then to the dining hall. The food is simple, usually rice and lentils. We have a small area for outdoor activities, but it’s nothing special. The junior college students are usually more serious, spending their evenings huddled over textbooks. The staff manages the hostel and the academic side of things without much fuss. There aren't any flashy signs or modern lobbies. It's just a place for learning and living. We deal with the everyday tasks of maintenance and making sure the schedule is followed.
