Gyana Jyothi Public School

Our school is located in Narasannapeta, which is a busy part of Srikakulam. You can find us easily if you are walking through the main streets of the town. We have a gate that opens up right into the courtyard where the students line up for prayer every morning. The sun can get quite strong here, so we try to keep the kids in the shade when we can. The building has several floors, and the stairs are always busy with students running up and down between classes. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just standard classrooms with fans that hum all day long. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We know the families in the area and many of the parents went here themselves back in the day. It’s a place where things happen in a routine way. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and talk to parents when they stop by. The noise from the local market and the passing vehicles is just part of the background here. We spend our time checking notebooks, teaching the lessons from the textbooks, and making sure the playground is kept clean. It is a plain, hardworking place. We don't try to be anything other than a local school for the families living nearby in Srikakulam. It’s been this way for a long time now and we just keep going as best as we can every day.
