Mango Beauty Parlour

You can find us at Shop 110 in the Vardhman Market over in Dwarka Sector 2. We are right across from the government school there. It's a handy spot because parents often drop in after they leave their kids at school. I named it Mango Beauty Parlour because I just liked the name, nothing more to it than that. We’ve been in this market for a while. The shop is small, just enough space for a couple of people to get their hair done or a facial. Dwarka is big, but our little corner of the market feels like a small village sometimes. We know the other shopkeepers around us. If we run out of milk for tea, someone from next door helps out. We do basic beauty services. It’s mostly haircuts, threading, and simple skin treatments. We don't have those fancy machines you see on TV. We just use our hands and the basic tools. I think people come here because they don't want to feel like they're in a factory. It's just me and one other girl working most days. We keep the floor swept and the towels fresh. Sometimes the market gets very crowded on the weekends, and we have to tell people to come back in an hour. We don't have a computer for appointments, we just write it down in a notebook. It works for us. It’s a simple, honest business in a busy part of Delhi. It keeps us very busy most weeks.
