Channel Aaj Tak As A Makeup Artist Jhandewala New Delhi

Working as a makeup artist for Channel Aaj Tak, I spend a lot of time over in Jhandewala, but the home base is here at Rz 40A in Raghu Nagar. It’s tucked away in Street No 3, right near Janak Puri in New Delhi. The 110045 area is where I grew up and started doing this kind of work. It’s a busy life, always moving between the studio and home. My kit stays packed and ready by the door most days. People in the street know me, and they see me coming and going at all hours because news work doesn't really have a fixed schedule. The house is a bit small for all the lights and brushes I’ve collected over time, but it works for what I need. I’ve lived in this part of Delhi for a long time. Street No 3 is a narrow one, so you have to be careful when you're driving in or out. Sometimes the neighbors ask for help with their makeup for weddings, and if I’m not exhausted from the shift at Jhandewala, I try to help out. It's just me doing my thing. I don't have a big fancy salon or anything like that. Just a quiet spot in Raghu Nagar where I can rest after a long day of making people look good for the camera. It’s honest work and I’m glad to be based here. New Delhi is fast, but this little corner feels like home.
