We’ve been here at A/34 in Vasant Vihar for a good bit now. It’s a quiet enough spot but people know where to find us when they need something for a birthday or a wedding. The shelves are usually pretty full of different boxes and bits of ribbon. It gets a bit crowded in the back when a new shipment comes in. Sometimes the sun hits the front window just right in the afternoon and you can barely see the displays. We spend a lot of time just organizing things and making sure everything looks okay. It’s mostly just us here every day, dealing with the local folks who stop by. Vasant Vihar has changed a bit over the years but our little corner stays mostly the same. We don’t really do much fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or heard from a neighbor. It’s a lot of manual work, unpacking crates and checking prices. We try to keep the place tidy but with so many small gift items, it’s a struggle sometimes. There’s always something to do, whether it’s helping someone pick out a card or just sweeping the front step. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. You get to know the regulars and what they usually like. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us.
