Dhingra Gift House

Dhingra Gift House has its home at Wz-123 in Palam Colony. We are near the Mandir in Gali Number 2, which makes it easy to find us if you follow the sound of the temple bells. This area is very much a residential community, so our shop feels more like a part of the neighborhood than a business. We keep a lot of variety because you never know what someone might need. One day it’s a lunch box for a school kid, and the next it’s a decorative vase for a housewarming. The shop gets a lot of dust because of the construction that always seems to be happening somewhere on the street. We keep a cloth handy and wipe things down whenever we get a quiet moment. There’s a wooden bench outside where the older men sometimes sit and talk. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with boxes stacked in the corners. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of our customers by name. We don't have any big signs or bright flashing lights. Just a simple board with the name. We open early and stay open until the last few people finish their evening shopping. It’s a simple life running a gift house in Palam. We just focus on keeping the items people want and making sure we’re around when the shutters go up every morning at ten.
