Patil Tech

Being based in Tisk Village over in the Ponda area of South Goa is quite different from what people think of when they hear Goa. We aren't near the beaches or the tourists. It’s a lot quieter here, which is good for the kind of tech work we do at Patil Tech. We mostly handle repairs and some assembly work for local industries. The office is really just a converted part of a larger building, and it gets quite humid during the monsoon months. We have a couple of fans going all the time to keep the equipment cool and the air moving. It’s a small team, mostly guys from around the village who know their way around a circuit board. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just fix what’s broken and try to stay updated on new parts. The drive into Ponda takes a bit of time if the roads are bad, so we usually bring our lunch and eat together at the big wooden table. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, but usually, we head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don’t spend much on decorations, just some calendars on the wall and a few tool racks. People know they can find us here if their machinery starts acting up. It's just us, some tools, and a lot of patience every day.
