Vishal Sharma

My business, Vishal Sharma, is run right out of House Number 8, near Gate Number 8 in Naib Sarai. It’s tucked away in a corner of New Delhi that can get pretty crowded, but we managed to find a quiet enough spot. I’ve been here for years, and most of my neighbors know what I do. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a room with a desk and some shelves where I keep my tools and papers. I usually start work pretty early before the heat gets too bad. People often stop by the gate and ask for me, and I just step out to talk. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us. I don't see the point in having a fancy setup if the work is getting done properly. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a delivery truck, or the power goes out for an hour, and we just wait it out. It’s part of living and working in this part of town. I don't have a big mission statement or any of that stuff. I just want to do my job and go home at the end of the day. The address is easy to find if you know where Gate 8 is. We’re just a small local operation trying to stay busy. It’s worked out okay so far, and I don't plan on changing much.
